[These instructions apply to all versions of the clock]
Step 1 - download the language file
Open the language download page, and download the language(s) you want. Make sure you place the file somewhere where you can find it later on. Each language comes in a single file as an EXE executable installer.
Step 2 - run the installer
Locate the file you just downloaded, for example "french_eu_male.exe". Now simply double-click the file to install the language. The installer will automatically perform the complete install procedure, and you will be notified of the result.
Step 3 - restart the clock and choose a new language
Make sure you restart the clock, otherwise the new language will not be available. It's very easy to choose the new language, just click the Language Selector button to the right of the Speak button.
In Speaking Clock Deluxe also make sure you have selected the "Say time using natural speech" option.
Troubles? Check these things!
- Make sure you have the latest version of the clock installed. All languages require Speaking Clock Deluxe version 3.5 or Multilingual Speaking Clock ver 2.5 or later.
- Make sure you restarted the clock.
- In Speaking Clock Deluxe, make sure you open the Settings dialog, and choose the "Languages and modes" tab to enable "Natural speech" mode.
