Downloading and installing
First you need to visit the download page, and download the Zip archive found there. Unzip the file into a temporary directory. Then double-click the file "install.exe" and follow the instructions. The clock is now installed, and can be started from the Start menu, or from the desktop icon (if you created one in the install process).
Basic usage
When the clock is started, it appears on-screen and a small clock icon is added to the system tray (in the lower right corner). The clock display has a range of buttons that accesses most functions. You can also right-click either the clock display or the system tray icon to access these functions, and some other options as well.
If you minimize the clock (by clicking the minimize button in the top right corner of the clock display), it disappears from the screen, but it will still run in the system tray. You can access all functions by right-clickig the system tray icon, or you can get the display on-screen by double-clicking the same icon.
To announce the time, simply click the Announce button, the big one with a speaker icon on it. The small button to the right of the Announce button is the language selection button. If you have added languages, this is the button to use to choose which one to use.
Announce and alarm functions
To set the clock to automatically announce the time at preset intervals, click the Alarm button (the one with an alarm clock on it). Here you can choose the announce and alarm properties.
Other useful settings
If you open the Settings dialog (by clicking the button with gears on it), you will find some useful functions:
- Start minimized in tray: When you start the clock, it's automatically minimized and doesn't appear on-screen. Instead it runs in the system tray, accessible from the small clock icon there.
- Start clock with Windows: The clock is automatically started when you start your computer.
